I can not believe that our wedding was almost a year ago! I loved every detail of our wedding, and it was so much fun to design and create the space. Over the next few weeks I am going to be giving you an inside look on what went into creating our wedding last April.
I am going to begin with Loot Vintage Rentals. Their warehouse is located in East Austin, and it is a dreamy little place, filled with the most amazingly unique furniture. I knew that I wanted to set up a lounge area at our wedding, since the table set up for dinner wasn’t exactly close to the band and dancing. Grayson and I went together to the Loot warehouse. I had no idea what I was looking for, or what the color story would be for our wedding. As soon as we got there, I was like a kid in a candy store. I wanted 1, or in some cases, 2 of everything! I started off by picking the Alberta sofa. Isn’t she lovely!?!
Next stop were chairs. I chose 1 of the Eleanor chairs, and 2 of the Shelby chairs. What I love most about the Eleanor is the high tufted back. I didn’t know how the colors were going to work with the sofa but I was willing to take the risk for these 2 beauties.
Below is Little Debbie, and I love her! She is the perfect pouf! Our guests used her to sit on, but she could have easily been pushed in front of the sofa or the chairs to rest your feet.
Now, I will admit I probably went a little crazy with tufted pieces, but who cares!? I love that we used the Adele ottoman for the center of the lounge. Throughout the evening she was used as a table, and other times she was used for guests to sit. She was the best, I am so glad I chose this over a traditional wood table.
We ended up adding 2 of the Sylvie tables for either side of the couch. Guests used them for drinks and they also were also great stands for a few of our floral pieces. I wish I had these babies at my house!
Ah! Last but certainly not least, Dottie! She ended up being the perfect cake table! I knew I didn’t want to rent another round table and plain linen to house our cake, and Dottie was just what I was looking for. We placed my bouquet on the bottom tier, and our cake on the top. We had this table placed in the lounge area at the beginning of the evening, and ended up having to move her to another spot since our cake almost came tumbling down! She sure was cute for pictures though!
Here is a photo of our completed lounge look. I L O V E it! Our lounge area really created the perfect place for our guests to mix and mingle in a very relaxed and comfortable setting. It was also a great way to add some color to the space. This is one of my absolute favorite pictures from the wedding. The colors just worked!
